Key takeaways:

  • SAJ launched a new AI-based EMS with advanced forecasting and scheduling algorithms at SNEC 2025

  • Strategic storage partnerships were signed in Australia and Southeast Asia, with a 2 GWh intent agreement with EVE Energy

  • The company also introduced updated energy storage and hybrid PV-ESS solutions for both C&I and residential markets

At the 18th edition of the SNEC PV 2025 exhibition held in Shanghai from June 11 to 13, SAJ presented updates across its smart energy portfolio, spanning residential, commercial, and industrial applications. A central highlight for the company was the launch of its upgraded energy management system, AI Saving 2.0, featuring 4 self-developed algorithms for generation and load forecasting, electricity price prediction, and intelligent scheduling. These are designed to enable real-time coordination between energy generation, storage, and consumption – offering various operation modes and integration with virtual power plant (VPP) platforms.

To support its installer network, SAJ launched the 'elekeeper Points Mall,' a reward program tied to completed installations, and introduced an AI-supported 1-click diagnostic tool to streamline project support.

The new EMS version introduces a visual analytics feature to make system decisions more transparent, such as when and why to charge or discharge batteries. Initially introduced in 2023, SAJ says the AI Saving platform has been refined based on global user feedback and continues to evolve for improved economic optimization, especially under dynamic electricity pricing schemes.

In terms of strategic partnerships, SAJ signed a 200 MWh collaboration with Australia’s OSW for C&I storage deployment. Agreements were also signed with Brightfield Trading (Malaysia) and Bossway Solar (Philippines), indicating plans to scale deployment in the Asia-Pacific region. Additionally, the company formalized a 2 GWh cooperation intention with battery manufacturer EVE Energy to integrate advanced battery cells into future storage systems.

SAJ also introduced enhancements in its energy storage product line. This includes a C&I storage system with integrated PCS (power conversion system), EMS (energy management system), and BMS (battery management system), and a hybrid PV + storage solution capable of supporting high-current inputs and multi-MPPT configurations. Both are aimed at improving efficiency, safety, and installation simplicity for larger applications.

For the residential sector, SAJ showcased its H2 hybrid inverter and eleX home energy solution. These are built to support intelligent load control, seamless grid-off-grid transitions, and participation in dynamic tariff structures. Its strategic alliance with PHNIX aims to combine solar, storage, and smart heating into a unified energy ecosystem.

The company also announced a reward program and diagnostic support tools for installers, aiming to strengthen its service and installation network globally.

Marking its 20th anniversary, SAJ stated its focus remains on expanding international cooperation and evolving its digital energy offerings in line with the energy sector’s transition.
