Studer Innotec introduced the Next1 inverter-charger at Intersolar 2024, developed by its Swiss R&D team with 35 years of experience. Next1 is a single-phase unit that is ideal for both off-grid and grid-tied applications. The charger features a low-frequency topology for high overload capability and minimal standby power consumption. This device delivers continuous power output of 4,500 VA, peak power of 6,500 VA, and surge capacity of 12,000 VA, all housed in an IP65 case.
According to the technical datasheet from the company, the Next1 supports a pure sine wave output with nominal voltages from 220 to 240 VAC or 110 to 130 VAC at 50 / 60 Hz. It offers a battery support with a 48 VDC nominal voltage and a maximum charging current of 125 ADC, including multiple charging stages with temperature compensation. It is integrated a range of communication interfaces, including CAN, LAN, WiFi, and Modbus. At the event, the charger is displayed in two configurations – wall mount and 19-inch rack.
The Next1 meets EU standards for low voltage and electromagnetic compliance and is grid-certified for most countries. The product comes with a minimum of 10-year warranty with an option to extend it further.
