Trinasolar introduced its Vertex N G3 TOPCon solar module with a power output of up to 760 W in Vietnam
The module features 85±5% bifaciality, a -0.26%/°C temperature coefficient, and a 30-year power warranty
Trina Storage also presented its 6.25 MWh Elementa 3 utility-scale BESS, which uses in-house 587 Ah battery cells
Chinese solar PV and energy storage manufacturer Trinasolar introduced its latest solar module and battery storage technologies at an event in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The company showcased its Vertex N G3 solar module, offering up to 760 W power output, alongside Trina Storage's 6.25 MWh Elementa 3 battery energy storage system (BESS).
The Vertex N G3 module is based on Trinasolar's latest TOPCon cell technology, which the company calls TOPCon 3.0. It is based on the company’s Ultra cell platform, which features higher power output and improved bifacial performance. It incorporates several design improvements, including multi-cut technology and edge passivation to reduce electrical losses, improve shading and hot-spot performance, and high-density cell packaging to improve module efficiency.
The module is rated at 85±5% bifaciality and a temperature coefficient of -0.26%/°C, which helps reduce power losses at higher operating temperatures. The company specifies a maximum annual power degradation of 0.35% from the second year onward, backed by a 30-year power warranty.
Alongside its solar modules, Trinasolar also showcased the 6.25 MWh Elementa 3 utility-scale BESS from its energy storage business, Trina Storage. The system uses in-house 587 Ah battery cells with an energy density of 417 Wh/L. It features top-mounted chillers, which the company says increase site energy density by 24.7%. The temperature control system maintains a temperature difference of no more than 2.5°C between cells. The battery modules are IP67-rated, and the system can operate in ambient temperatures of up to 55°C.
Trinasolar also highlighted its solar-plus-storage project at Corona Resort in Phú Quốc, Vietnam. The project combines a 3 MWp solar installation with a 10 MWh AC-coupled BESS retrofit, demonstrating the integration of battery storage into an existing commercial solar installation.
The company expects its latest PV and storage products to support Vietnam's growing electricity requirements, particularly from industrial operations and AI data centers.
During the recent TaiyangNews Global PV Technology Trends 2026 online conference, Adele Zhao, Head of Marketing, Product and Services (EU & LAC) at Trinasolar, showcased the above products, highlighting their key technical features and applications (see Trinasolar Discusses Its Intersolar Showcase).
