

TrinaTracker presented its Vanguard 1P single-axis tracker at Intersolar Europe 2026
The tracker supports east-west and north-south slopes of up to 15%
Its SuperTrack smart tracking and backtracking algorithms optimize row angles and limit inter-row shading
TrinaTracker highlighted its Vanguard 1P single-axis tracker with Terrain Following Plus technology at Intersolar Europe 2026. The system combines terrain-adaptive structural components with independent row control for projects on uneven and sloping land.
Its Terrain Following Plus design supports east-west and north-south slopes of up to 15%. As part of the design, the tracker uses spherical bearings that allow limited movement between the components. The bearings provide up to 30% angular adjustment, helping the tracker accommodate uneven pile installation and foundation settlement. The bearings also dissipate additional stress caused by tracker deformation, reducing the loads transferred to individual components.
For wind stability, the tracker incorporates a bi-damper system that shortens oscillation time and reduces the structure’s dynamic response. TrinaTracker has optimized the torque tube, increasing torsional resistance by 29.6% and bending resistance by 12.4%. The company says the tracker’s wind performance has also been improved by 20%. It supports a design wind speed of 55 m/s, while its wind and snow load specifications can be adapted to project requirements.
The tracker’s control system incorporates TrinaTracker’s SuperTrack smart tracking and backtracking algorithms. It processes irradiance and environmental data to determine the appropriate operating angle for each tracker row. Independent row adjustment helps reduce inter-row shading on uneven terrain. TrinaTracker says SuperTrack can increase energy generation by up to 8% compared with its conventional tracking algorithm.
The single-row tracker accommodates framed modules in a portrait orientation, supporting up to 93 modules per tracker in a 1,500 V system. It offers a tracking range of ±60° and uses a slewing drive.
The company provides a 10-year warranty for the tracker structure and a 5-year warranty for commercial components, including the drive system, electrical system, and bearings.
