NTPC REL has invited bids for 1.2 GW solar PV module supply for the Gujarat project
Modules must be bifacial crystalline silicon with at least 570 W power rating
Bidders need 200 MW prior supply experience and ALMM List-I compliance
NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), the renewable energy subsidiary of India’s state-owned utility NTPC Limited, has launched a procurement call for the supply of solar PV modules for a 1.2 GW PV project.
The project capacity is located at the NTPC REL Khavda Renewable Energy Park in South Block in the Rann of Kutch, Gujarat. The total project capacity is 1.56 GW DC, split into 4 subprojects of 390 MW each.
NTPC REL says it needs bifacial crystalline silicon solar modules with a minimum 570 W power rating.
To be eligible for this tender, bidders must have manufactured and supplied a cumulative 200 MW of solar modules or solar cell capacity within 12 months in the last 5 years. Of this, at least a single supply order should be of 50 MW or higher. Eligible bidders must have at least 1.67 times the quoted capacity.
It will accept bids from the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) List-I.
