NTPC Renewable Energy Limited has invited EPC bids for a combined 1.1 GW of solar PV capacity in Rajasthan
The projects are planned in Bikaner (550 MW), Nokhra (300 MW), and Jaisalmer (240 MW)
The scope of work includes design, engineering, procurement, construction, and 3 years of operation and maintenance
NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has launched a series of tenders inviting EPC bids for a combined grid-connected solar PV capacity of 1.1 GW across the state of Rajasthan.
The largest of these, with a capacity of 550 MW, will be located near Shimboo Ka Burj in the Bikaner district. Another project with 240 MW capacity will be located near Devikot village in Jaisalmer. The agency is also seeking bidders for 300 MW sited near Nokhra.
According to the tender documents, interested bidders will be expected to provide an EPC package covering the entire gamut of services, right from design and engineering to project commissioning.
The broad scope of work also involves procuring solar PV modules, ensuring the availability of a module-cleaning system, and erecting a tracker-based module mounting structure (MMS). Power evacuation up to the 33 kV main pooling switchgear at the owner’s pooling substation is also part of the job.
Winners will also provide comprehensive operation and maintenance of the grid-connected solar PV projects for a period of 3 years from the date of commissioning of full project capacity. NTPC REL intends to finance the subject package through its own resources/borrowings.
NTPC REL launched 550 MW and 240 MW tenders on June 6, 2026, with a bid submission deadline of June 26, 2026. It published the call for the 300 MW tender on June 2, 2026. Bids can be submitted by June 22, 2026.
Recently, NTPC REL’s parent NTPC Green Energy Limited opened EPC calls for a combined 17,500 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) capacity across Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Uttar Pradesh (see NTPC Green Launches 17,500 MWh BESS EPC Tenders).
