Key Takeaways
  • RVUNL has invited consultants to prepare feasibility and DPRs for 31.6 GW of solar parks in Rajasthan

  • This capacity will be realized as 6 mega renewable parks in Bikaner and Jaisalmer on government-allocated land

  • Selected consultants must conduct site studies, assess investment models, and prepare techno-commercial feasibility studies and DPRs

Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RVUNL) has floated proposals to appoint consultants to prepare feasibility and detailed project reports (DPRs). The consultancy work will support the development of solar parks in Rajasthan with a massive planned capacity of 31.6 GW.

To be distributed across various villages in the districts of Bikaner and Jaisalmer, this capacity, in the form of 6 renewable energy parks, will be established on government land allocated by the state to RVUNL. The 6 projects are planned to host capacities of 2.1 GW, 3.1 GW, 6.2 GW, 2.7 GW, 5.0 GW, and 12.5 GW.

Selected bidders will be required to carry out topographic and geotechnical investigation of land, and prepare a feasibility report by working out various business models for investment to assess techno-commercial viability of the park. Based on these details, the winner will prepare the DPR.

RVUNL issued the tender on September 2, 2025, and specified September 8, 2025, as the last date for bid submission. Details are available on the e-procurement portal of the State Government of Rajasthan.

This tender follows RVUNL’s call for 34 GW of solar park development consultancy in July 2025 (see RVUNL Seeks Consultants To Plan Over 34 GW Of Solar Parks).
