- Total Eren has come on board the green hydrogen project proposed by Province Resources in Western Australia
- The partners will conduct feasibility study over the next 4 months, followed by definitive agreements within 4 months

Australian mining company Province Resources expanded the installed renewable energy capacity of its proposed HyEnergy Zero Carbon Hydrogen Project in Western Australia to up to 8 GW, up from the previously announced 1 GW capacity, after Total Eren joined the project (see Movement On Green Hydrogen Project In Western Australia).
French renewable energy company Total Eren has entered into a binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Province Resources. Effective immediately, the partners will jointly conduct a feasibility study over the next 4 months for the said project in the Shire of Carnarvon, Gascoyne region.
They plan to develop the integrated hybrid renewable energy capacity in 2 stages as 50:50 partners. According to the agreement, the partners will complete a scoping study and target to execute definitive agreements within 4 months.
Province Resources previously stated it aims to produce close to 60,000 tons of green hydrogen or up to around 300,000 tons of green ammonia with the help of 1 GW solar and wind energy capacity for the HyEnergy project. Now, with the expanded capacity of 8 GW, the amount of green hydrogen or ammonia output should also go up.

Backed by French energy giant Total, Total Eren has completed the 256 MW Kiamal Solar Farm in Australia’s Ouyen and globally touts more than 3.3 GW of operational or under construction renewable energy capacity.
