12 July, 2022 Trina Solar announced that it has secured the 50 MWac (71 MWdc) Floating Solar Photovoltaic (FPV) project in Malaysian state of Sarawak, in the auction hold by Sarawak Energy Berhad, a vertically integrated power utility in Sarawak and also Malaysia’s largest renewable energy provider. This will be the first large-scale FPV project to be built in Sarawak.
