Jinggong Steel partners with Risen Energy for BIPV roof products: Jinggong Steel announced that its subsidiary Jinggong Industry, and solar panel maker Risen Energy's subsidiary Risen Energy Green Power, have signed a strategic agreement. Now, both the parties will partner in the fields of BIPV product research and development, product procurement, and promotion. Recently, Risen had released ultra-low-carbon BIPV and HJT products (see China PV News Snippets)
JSG raises RMB 1.42 bn: Semiconductor and solar material equipment manufacturer JSG announced that it has raised funds to the tune of RMB 1.42 billion ($0.22 billion). The money will be used towards a 12-inch large silicon wafer equipment project, and another manufacturing project with an annual output of 80 sets of semiconductor material polishing and thinning equipment. Last year, JSG and Shuangliang Eco-Energy had partnered for a RMB 2.2 bn sales contract (see China PV News Snippets)
Sungrow signs 500 MWac deal with Mercury Renew: Solar PV inverter supplier Sungrow has closed a 500 MWac PV inverter solution supply contract with Mercury Renew, which is a part of the Comerc Energia Group, specializing in the generation and management of renewable energy. Sungrow's SG3125HV-30 central inverter solutions will be supplied for the construction of the Helio Valgas PV plant in Varzea da Palma, Minas Gerais, with capacity of 650 MWp. The clean energy produced will meet large companies' demand in the free energy market, without state price regulation.
Seraphim rolls out new S3 & S4 series dual-glass modules: Solar panel manufacturer Seraphim has launched the new S3 and S4 series lightweight dual-glass PV modules to better meet the increasing demand of the rooftop distributed PV products, the company said in an announcement. The new products inherit the high quality of Seraphim's previous products, and perfectly integrates advanced technologies such as PERC, MBB, half-cell and high-density encapsulation.
Tongwei to invest in 32 GW silicon cell manufacturing project: Integrated solar PV manufacturer Tongwei said that in order to further expand its advantage in the high-efficiency crystalline silicon cell industry, the company plans to sign an investment agreement with the Meishan Management Committee of Sichuan Tianfu New District. As per the agreement, the company will invest in the construction of a 32 GW high-efficiency crystalline silicon cell project in Qinglong Street, Meishan. The project will be implemented in 2 equal 16 GW phases, with an estimated total investment of RMB 12 billion ($1.9 billion), scheduled to be finished by end of next year.
