Premier Energies has secured 1.6 GW of combined solar cell and module orders in Q4 FY2026
Orders come from Indian IPPs, module makers, and EPC contractors, totaling INR 2,577 crore
The manufacturer continues with its capacity expansion, targeting 10.6 GW cell capacity by September 2026
Premier Energies Limited, the Indian solar PV manufacturer, has announced that it has secured combined solar cell and module orders totaling 1.6 GW in Q4 FY2026 (ended March 2026). These orders will be executed across FY 2027 and FY 2028.
The manufacturer shared that these orders have been placed by a mix of Indian independent power producers (IPPs), module manufacturers, and EPC contractors. The total value of these contracts aggregates to INR 2,577 crore.
“This robust order inflow underscores the trust placed by our customers in our manufacturing capabilities and technology roadmap,” said Premier Energies Managing Director Chiranjeev Saluja. “As India accelerates renewable energy deployment under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, we remain focused on delivering high-quality solar solutions at scale.”
Premier Energies’ total solar module production capacity stands at 11.1 GW, and targets 10.6 GW of solar cell capacity by September 2026. It commissioned a 5.6 GW TOPCon solar PV module fab in Telangana in March this year (see Premier Energies Commissions 5.6 GW TOPCon Factory).
It is undertaking further vertical integration, targeting 10 GW of ingot production by FY2028 under a joint venture with Taiwan’s Sino-American Silicon Products (see Premier Energies, SAS To Set Up 2 GW Solar Wafer Unit In India).
The manufacturer is also pursuing horizontal expansion, with plans to build an inverter-to-module manufacturing ecosystem. Premier aims to achieve 12 GWh of battery energy storage system (BESS) and 3 GW of inverter capacity by FY2028.
Speaking at the Executive Panel at TaiyangNews Solar Technology Conference India 2026, Premier Energies’ Chief Strategy Officer, Sudhir M Reddy, called BESS a logical extension for many manufacturers as India’s renewable energy capacity expands (see Integration & Scale Key To Competing In Solar Manufacturing).
Recently, it acquired a 51% stake in Transcon Industries, a transformer and inverter manufacturing company.
