Included in PowerChina’s 10 new energy projects are 5 power plants; JYT subsidiary to sell RMB 2.4 billion silicon wafers to Trina; Golden Glass to sell 50 MW PERC bifacial-glass modules to Ourhouse.

PowerChina begins construction of 10 new energy projects: Power Construction Corporation of China PowerChina has started the construction of 10 new energy projects all at the same time, the company said in an announcement. The total installed capacity of all the projects, which also contains five PV power plants, comes to about 907.4 MW. The projects include Xishui 160 MW fishery and PV project; North Bridge 50 MW wind and solar project; Dunhuang 20 MW grid-connected PV power generation project; Liangzhou 20 MW grid-connected PV power generation project; Lanzhou Xigu Qingshitai 50 MW PV project; Yifeng Obama Ceramics 20 MW rooftop PV project; and Xinping 40 MW PV project. On completion, the projects are expected to provide 2.1 billion kWh of clean energy every year. JYT to sell 290 mn silicon wafers to Trina: Solar wafer and equipment maker JYT Corporation announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Wuxi JYT Corporation will be selling 290 million monocrystalline silicon wafers to solar cell/module manufacturer Trina Solar from March 2022 to December 2022. As per the current market price, the total estimated sales amount is about RMB 2.4 billion ($0.38 billion). Earlier this year, Wuxi JYT had entered silicon wafer procurement contracts with Guangdong Aiko Solar Technology (see China PV News Snippets)

Golden Glass signs 50 MW module sales deal: In an announcement, supplier of high-end special building glass Golden Glass said that its subsidiary Wujiang Golden Glass Technology will be selling 50 MW of PERC bifacial-glass modules to Ourhouse Group from the date the contract takes effect until May 31, 2022. The total contract value is estimated to be RMB 98.5 million ($15.61 million), equivalent to RMB 1.97/W ($0.31/W).
