DMEGC Solar Sihong plant 1st 4-Star Zero-Carbon PV facility; Hoshine Silicon rolls off 1st TOPCon module; S.C New Energy ships perovskite thin film mass production equipment; Ronma's Jinhua facility starts ops; Golden Photovoltaic ships HJT modules for Guazhou Station.
DMEGC Solar's Sihong plant awarded 1st 4-Star Zero-Carbon Certification in PV Sector: Solar PV manufacturer DMEGC Solar has announced that its factory in Sihong, Jiangsu Province, has been named a Zero Carbon Factory by TÜV SÜD. The company says that it is the 1st photovoltaic (PV) manufacturer to receive the certification from the certification body. TÜV SÜD's evaluation found that the Sihong plant a 99% greenhouse gas offset and is powered entirely by renewable energy (see China Solar PV News Snippets). The Sihong plant has also received certification from the French Certisolis for its low carbon footprint. The company says the plant can save up to 870,000 kWh of power annually, reducing 594 tons of CO2 emissions and avoiding 254 tons of coal consumption. DMEGC Solar says that it plans to add 44 MW of rooftop PV capacity to its factories in Sihong, Lianyungang, and Yibin.
Hoshine Silicon's rolls off 1st n-type TOPCon double-glass module: PV module manufacturer Hoshine Silicon Industry has announced that it has officially rolled off the 1st n-type TOPCon monocrystalline high-efficiency double-glass module from its production line. The company said that this marks the completion of the 100-billion-level integrated PV industry chain park in the Ganquanbao Economic and Technological Development Zone. Hoshine Silicon Industry claims to have invested over RMB 42.5 billion ($5.81 billion) in this industrial base where it aims to produce 200,000 tons of polysilicon, 20 GW of monocrystalline wafers, and 20 GW of cells annually. In August, Hoshine Silicon Industry announced that it will purchase large-scale monocrystalline CZ pullers from Autowell (see China Solar PV News Snippets).
S.C New Energy ships large-area perovskite thin film vertical mass production equipment: Solar production equipment manufacturer S.C New Energy Technology has announced that it has successfully shipped large-area perovskite thin film vertical mass production equipment, including RPD and PVD equipment for perovskite. The company said that its customer had previously used its RPD equipment to achieve a third-party certified conversion efficiency of more than 19% on perovskite modules.
Ronma's Jinhua facility Phase I starts operations: Solar PV manufacturer has announced that the first n-type TOPCon Tianma series module has rolled off the production line at its Jinhua module facility. Being built in 2 phases, the company is investing about RMB 3.84 billion ($525.1 million) in Phase I of the 396.4-acre manufacturing facility. As part of the first phase, the company aims to produce 8 GW of cells and 2 GW modules at the facility. Once the 8 GW cell capacity is put into production in November, i.e., at the end of Phase I, Ronma expects the facility to generate RMB 12.5 billion ($1.71 billion) in annual. By the end of Phase II, the facility will have an annual output of 10 GW of PV cells and 18 GW of modules.
Golden Photovoltaic ships 1st batch of HJT modules for Guazhou Power Station: PV module manufacturer Golden Photovoltaic has announced that it has successfully shipped the first batch of 30 MW heterojunction (HJT) modules for the Guazhou Power Station Project of Guangdong Zhongliang Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. The company's JGDN-132 high-efficiency large-size module that will be used at the plant adopts bifacial microcrystalline HJT and half-cell technology in the 210 format. Golden Photovoltaic says that its HJT modules were chosen for the project as these modules can better adapt to desert scenes. Recently, Golden Solar announced the completion of its new generation heterojunction back contact (HBC) cell production line (see China Solar PV News Snippets).
