LONGi inks deal with Muyuan Foods: Chinese vertically integrated solar PV company LONGi said through a WeChat communication that it has signed a deal with Muyuan Foods Co., Ltd, which is an integrated pork chain, covering feed processing, pig breeding, pig farming as well as slaughter and processing. The food company has been using photovoltaic roof products for its pig houses, thus reducing costs, increasing efficiency, and helping reduce the double carbon target. And LONGi’s Hi-MO 6 module products provide high-quality photovoltaic products and solutions with 5%-10% higher energy efficiency.
Tongwei Jintang facility produces first module: Integrated solar PV manufacturer Tongwei Solar said via WeChat that its 16 GW photovoltaic module facility in Jintang has produced its first module. Considered to be the first GW-level photovoltaic module factory in Southwest China, the Jintang facility aims to build the first RMB 100 billion-level photovoltaic cluster in the region. UtmoLight’s large-scale perovskite module efficiency touches 18.6%: Over a WeChat communication, solar technology company Wuxi Utmost Light Technology Co Ltd (UtmoLight) said that its 809.9 cm2 large-scale perovskite module has once again set a new world record with a steady-state efficiency of 18.6%. This has been released by Solar Cell Efficiency Tables, which is an authoritative list compiled by Professor Martin Green, who is known as father of solar along with scientists from other countries. This is the second time, the module has featured in Martin Green’s PV efficiency table, after breaking the industry’s first perovskite module efficiency of 20% in 2021.
