Daheng Energy's 4 GW PV manufacturing base launched: Smart photovoltaic systems equipment manufacturer Daheng Energy said that the groundbreaking ceremony of its 4 GW 'photovoltaic intelligent manufacturing base' was successfully held in Chaohu Economic Development Zone. The total investment of the project is about RMB 2 billion ($0.31 billion). Once the project is put into production, the cell/module maker said that it will greatly improve its production capacity without providing details. Shangji Automation signs RMB 4.3 billion sales deal: PV production equipment maker and mono-wafer company Shangji Automation announced that together with its wholly-owned subsidiary Hongyuan New Materials (Baotou) Co., Ltd. it signed orders for monocrystalline silicon wafers with Shangrao Hongye New Energy. It is estimated that about 648 million pieces will be sold between 2022-2025, and the sales amount will be about RMB 4.3 billion ($0.68 billion) (tax included).
East Hope's RMB 150 billion integrated PV fab: Chinese polysilicon producer East Hope said that the launching ceremony of its Ningxia Crystal New Energy Materials Project was held in Shizuishan City. The total investment of the project is about RMB 150 billion ($23.60 billion). In the first phase of the project, the plan is to produce 125,000 tons of polysilicon, 145,000 tons of industrial silicon, 10 GW of monocrystalline ingots, 10 GW of wafers, 10 GW of cells, and 25 GW of modules. The project is planned to be eventually completed with an annual output of 400,000 tons of high-purity crystalline silicon, 490,000 tons of industrial silicon, and an integrated upstream and downstream industry chain project of monocrystalline, silicon wafers, cells, and modules, the company said.
China Energy starts 200 MW PV project: China Energy Investment Corporation (China Energy) said that its 200 MW photovoltaic project in Gansu Province has been launched. China Energy Gansu Electric Power is building the project. The total installed capacity of the project will be 200 MW, and the installed capacity of photovoltaic field modules will be 240.8 MW. The plans is to use 445,952 photovoltaic modules, 10,080 tons of module brackets, and 64 centralized box-type inverter integrated equipment, the company added. The total investment is about RMB 760 million ($119.59 million).
