CECEP Solar to invest RMB 1.18 billion in 300 MW PV project: Holding subsidiary of China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group, CECEP Solar Energy Technology, announced that it intends to invest in the construction of CECEP Yongxin Luxi 100 MW forest-photovoltaic power generation project with its wholly-owned subsidiary CECEP (Yongxin) Solar Technology as the main body. The total investment will be RMB 436 million ($68.4 million). At the same time, the company plans to invest in the construction of a 200 MW agricultural photovoltaic power station project in Jialiang, with a wholly-owned subsidiary CECEP (Libo) Solar Technology as the main body with a total investment of RMB 745 million ($117.01 million).

Tongwei releases latest solar cell pricing: Integrated solar PV manufacturer from China, Tongwei Group, has announced the latest pricing for monocrystalline solar cells. Compared to the last quote (see China PV News Snippets), the prices now are as follows:

  • Monocrystal PERC cell 166 (160μm thickness) is RMB 1.13/W ($0.18/W), an increase of 1.8% from its previous quote
  • Monocrystal PERC cell 182 (160μm thickness) is RMB 1.17/W ($0.18/W), an increase of 1.7%, from its previous quote
  • Monocrystal PERC cell 210 (160μm thickness) is RMB 1.17/W ($0.18/W), an increase of 0.9%, from its previous quote

Akcome registers operating revenue of RMB 2.5 billion: Releasing its annual report, Chinese solar cell and module producer Akcome Technology said that it has achieved an operating revenue of RMB 2.5 billion ($0.39 billion) in 2021, down 16.16% year-on-year. Its solar module revenue was RMB 1.3 billion ($0.2 billion), accounting for 53.3% of the operating revenue. The PV module frame revenue was RMB 483 million ($75.8 million), while the solar module bracket revenue was RMB 463 million ($72.7 million). The report suggests that the company’s profits had been affected by multiple complex factors such as complicated international trade barriers, significant increases in logistics prices, and restrictions on energy consumption dual control policies, as well as dramatic fluctuations in the prices of raw materials.

JinkoSolar wins SPIC’s 100 MW project bid: Module supplier JinkoSolar announced that it has won the 100 MW bid of Baiji Xinping Agricultural and Solar Project in Yongning District. This project is being constructed by Nanning Jisheng New Energy Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC), and will use its N-type TigerNeo series bifacial double glass modules.
