Trina's 11 GW facility produces its first Vertex module: Chinese solar module manufacturer said through a WeChat communication that its newly built 11 GW module factory in Yancheng Development Zone has successfully produced its first Vertex module. The company added that it took only about 118 days to construct the facility and produce the module. Spread across 274 acres, the facility is engaged in research and development, production and sales of high-efficiency solar modules and photovoltaic derivatives. Earlier this month, Trina Solar had presented its new Vertex N solar module for the C&I and utility scale segment and has targeted to produce 20 GW to 30 GW of n-type solar modules by the end of 2023 (see New Trina Solar Vertex N Modules Launched).

JA Solar to invest RMB 1.5 billion for integrated capacity expansion: Solar PV panel manufacturer JA Solar announced that it plans t to expand its integrated production capacity. And towards that, it will invest about RMB 1.5 billion ($0.21 billion) and the focus will be on two facilities – the 5 GW Hefei module facility and the 5 GW module renovation of Xingtai No. 1 workshop. Sungrow Q3/2022 results announced: Releasing its third-quarter results for 2022, solar PV inverter supplier Sungrow said that it has achieved a revenue of RMB 22.2 billion ($3.06 billion), a year-on-year increase of 44.56%. The net profit was pegged at RMB 2.06 billion ($0.28 billion), a year-on-year increase of 36.94%. Meanwhile, the operating income was at RMB 9.9 billion ($1.37 billion), a year-on-year increase of 38.80%; and the net profit was at RMB 1.1 billion ($0.15 billion), a year-on-year increase of 55.14%. The company attributed this performance to the substantial growth of photovoltaic and energy storage businesses.
