China Energy to build PV power generation projects in Feixian; Trina Solar to buy monocrystalline silicon wafers from Shuangliang Silicon; Shangji Automation achieves operating revenue of RMB 10.9 billion during 2021; and Autowell wins RMB 110 mn PV equipment bidding project.
China Energy to build 350 MW PV project: China Energy Investment Corporation Feixian Power Generation and the Feixian People's Government of Linyi City have signed an agreement for photovoltaic resource development. As per the agreement, about 350 MW of photovoltaic power generation projects will be constructed in Feixian County. This would include 100 MW of distributed PV for households, 200 MW of distributed PV for industry and commerce, and 50 MW of agricultural and PV composite projects. The total investment of the project is pegged at RMB 1.7 billion ($0.27 billion). In January, China Energy began a 2 GW whole county PV project in Jiangsu (see China PV News Snippets)
Shuangliang & Trina sign 1.8 bn silicon wafers order: Production equipment maker Shuangliang Eco-Energy announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Shuangliang Silicon Materials (Baotou) and solar module manufacturer Trina Solar have signed a monocrystalline silicon wafers procurement agreement. As per the contract, Trina Solar will purchase 1.8 billion monocrystalline silicon wafers from Shuangliang Silicon Materials for RMB 15.9 billion ($2.51 billion) from the period 2022 to 2024. Last year, JSG & Shuangliang Eco-Energy had signed a RMB 2.2 bn sales contract (see China PV News Snippets).
Shangji Automation sees strong increase in 2021 operating revenue: PV production equipment maker and mono-wafer company Shangji Automation recently released its 2021 annual results. The company achieved an operating revenue of RMB 10.9 billion ($1.72 billion) during the reporting period, which is an increase of 262.2% year-on-year. The total profit stood at RMB 1.8 billion ($0.28 billion), a year-on-year increase of 203.4%. This growth in performance, the company said, is due to the continued expansion of its monocrystalline silicon business in 2021, and the continued increase in production capacity, which ultimately led to the rise in sales revenue. Last year, Shangji Automation had raised RMB 2.5 billion (see China PV News Snippets: Talesun, Shangji Automation, Qingdao)
Autowell wins RMB 110 mn PV equipment bidding project: Automation equipment manufacturer Autowell Technology announced that the company has won the bid for Qujing JA Solar, a wholly-owned subsidiary of JA Solar Technology and holding subsidiary Hefei JA Solar for wafer sorting machines and combined multi-busbar scribing and welding machines. The bid amount is about RMB 110 million ($17.36 million) (tax included).
