Solar equipment manufacturer Shenzhen S.C New Energy has announced what it calls ‘a breakthrough’ in its industrial-grade piezoelectric inkjet printing technology for perovskite thin films, with the successful shipment of related printing equipment. Designed specifically for perovskite/silicon tandem cells, the company claims this technology offers nanometer-level patterning precision, high material utilization, and compatibility with various substrates. It is said to be able to overcome common issues in traditional solution-based deposition methods, such as edge effects and liquid leakage.
According to Shenzhen S.C, the inkjet solution is compatible with crystalline silicon, glass, and flexible polymer substrates, and is suitable for irregular architectural surfaces, unlocking new potential for building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV).
In its recently released H1 2025 earnings forecast , Shenzhen S.C stated that it expects its net profit to increase nearly 39% to 60% for the period (see China Solar PV News Snippets).
Solar PV manufacturer and CHINT Group subsidiary Astronergy has signed a sustainable fuel alliance initiative launched by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). The initiative aims to promote the development and widespread adoption of sustainable fuels, contributing to the goal of limiting global temperature rise to 1.5°C in line with the Paris Agreement. It also proposes establishing a Sustainable Fuel Alliance that brings together upstream and downstream industry players, research institutions, financial bodies, and international organizations. The alliance will serve as a platform for R&D collaboration, mutual recognition of sustainable fuel standards, coordinated infrastructure development, and policy support—ultimately aiming to reduce the cost of green fuel adoption. Other signatories include notable enterprises such as HONOR and SITC International.
Astronergy’s sister company, Chint Green Energy, recently revealed its plans to establish a new manufacturing base for solar inverters and energy storage products in Jiangsu Province (see China Solar PV News Snippets).
Jiangsu EverShine Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (ESET), a solar mounting system manufacturer, has broken ground on a new manufacturing base dedicated to solar tracking systems. Located in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, the facility will have an annual production capacity of 200,000 tons of tracker structures, equivalent to 7 GW, along with 200,000 gearboxes, upon full completion. ESET stated that this is its first smart factory focused solely on solar tracking systems. The company currently operates 15 GW of solar mounting system capacity across China.
The China Photovoltaic Industry Association (CPIA) is soliciting feedback from PV companies regarding the Draft Amendment to the Pricing Law of the People’s Republic of China. The draft, released in July by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), focuses on 3 key areas: refining government pricing mechanisms, clarifying definitions of unfair pricing practices, and strengthening legal liability for pricing violations.
To fully reflect the concerns of PV industry stakeholders, CPIA is collecting input from its member companies between August 6 and August 10. The feedback will center on issues such as price behavior regulation for PV products, pricing control mechanisms, price supervision and inspection, and legal responsibilities under the revised law.
Recently, CPIA raised its 2025 solar forecast for the China market to 270 GW AC to 300 GW AC, as H1 installations exceeded expectations (see CPIA Revises 2025 China Solar Projections Up To 300 GW AC).
