Antaisolar Launches One-Stop Distributed PV Solution

Solar mounting system provider Antaisolar has launched its ‘We Cover’ one-stop solution for distributed PV applications.

The solution includes the ALTRA distributed PV mounting system in PRO, BASE, and LITE series for 4 application scenarios: commercial & industrial (C&I) color steel tile roofs, residential tiled roofs, concrete flat roofs, and balconies. The system is designed to address rooftop construction, load-bearing, and waterproofing challenges.

Antaisolar also introduced its Snapfit rapid installation system, which uses highly pre-assembled components and simplified installation procedures to improve installation efficiency by up to 50%.

Cornex Secures Approval for 290 GWh Battery Manufacturing Plants

Energy storage battery manufacturer Cornex has received energy conservation review approvals from the Hubei Provincial Development and Reform Commission for lithium battery manufacturing plants in Wuhan, Xiaogan, and Yichang, adding a combined 290 GWh of planned production capacity.

The Wuhan facility includes annual production capacity for 90 GWh of battery cells, comprising 60 GWh for energy storage and 30 GWh for power batteries, alongside 48 GWh of energy storage containers and 58 GWh of power battery module packs. Production is scheduled to begin by August 2028.

The Xiaogan project plans an annual capacity of 50 GWh for each of energy storage and power batteries, with operations expected to start in June 2030.

The Yichang project will add 60 GWh of energy storage battery capacity and 40 GWh of power battery capacity, with production scheduled to begin in December 2030.

Goodark Delays 500 t/year Solar Silver Paste Project

Goodark, the parent company of PV paste manufacturer iSilver, has postponed 2 of its manufacturing projects funded by proceeds from its public offering, citing delays in the arrival of the funds raised. The company had received approval for this share issuance in March this year (see China Solar PV News Snippets).

One of the projects is a solar electronic paste facility with an annual production capacity of 500 tons. The project carries a planned investment of RMB 500 million, including RMB 341.1 million from raised funds. Originally targeted for completion by the end of 2027, the project’s expected operational date has now been pushed back to August 2028.

The company also delayed its small-signal product packaging and testing project, extending the target completion date to February 2027.

Xinjiang Approves First Batch of Multi-User Green Power Direct Supply Projects

Xinjiang has approved its first batch of multi-user green power direct supply projects, comprising 2 projects with a combined installed capacity of 160 MW, including 120 MW of solar PV and 40 MW of wind power.

Both projects are grid-connected direct supply projects serving data centers as end users. Under the model, wind and solar projects supply electricity directly to multiple users through dedicated transmission lines and substations, with annual green power consumption estimated at around 263 million kWh.

The approvals follow the recent release of China’s national policy framework for multi-user green power direct supply projects by the NDRC and the NEA (see China Solar PV News Snippets). The Xinjiang projects are said to be among the first of their kind to be approved in China.
