LONGi’s Wuhu Plant Earns CMMM Level 4 Certification

Leading vertically integrated PV manufacturer LONGi has secured Level 4 certification under the China Manufacturing Maturity Model (CMMM) for its production base in Wuhu, Anhui province. The company said the facility is the first PV module factory to receive the certification. CMMM is a national standards-based system for assessing smart manufacturing capabilities, with Level 4, or the Optimized level, currently the highest level achieved by enterprises in China.

The Wuhu plant is a core manufacturing base for LONGi’s BC modules, including the Hi-MO 9 and Hi-MO X10. It has deployed seven AI engines across 15 key areas, including supply chain management, production scheduling, and equipment O&M. Full-process AI inspection has increased defect-detection efficiency by 80% and reduced quality issues across the production line by 40%, while production efficiency in key processes such as screen printing and welding has increased by 21%. Intelligent dispatching efficiency has improved by 60%, and overall energy consumption has fallen by 7%.

Recently, LONGi signed a strategic cooperation and framework agreement with Mingyang Thin Film Technology, covering BIPV and zero-carbon parks (see China Solar PV News Snippets).

Guangxi Launches 2027 Renewable Energy Auction

The Guangxi Development and Reform Commission and Guangxi Energy Administration have launched bidding for 2027 mechanism tariffs for incremental renewable energy projects. Eligible participants include wind and solar projects that achieve full-capacity grid connection and enter operation between June 1, 2025, and December 31, 2027, and have not previously been covered by the mechanism tariff. Renewable energy projects for local consumption and general and large C&I distributed PV projects are excluded.

Bid prices must range from RMB 0.15 to RMB 0.36/kWh. The total mechanism volume will be set at 40% of the forecast annual on-grid electricity volume of incremental projects not previously included in the mechanism. Each project’s bid volume will initially be capped at 80% of its total on-grid electricity volume. For PV projects, the cap will be calculated using 936 average utilization hours and an auxiliary power consumption rate of 2.21%. The mechanism tariff will apply for 12 years for both wind and solar projects.

Jinko ESS Deploys 2.35 MWh C&I Storage Project

JinkoSolar’s energy storage business arm, Jinko ESS, has deployed nine units of its SunGiga G2 261 kWh commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage systems (ESS) at Changzhou International Enterprise Port in Jiangsu Province, China, with a total storage capacity of around 2.35 MWh. The systems will charge during low-tariff periods and discharge when electricity prices are higher, allowing businesses in the industrial park to arbitrage peak and off-peak electricity prices.

The systems are also connected to the project owner’s cloud platform for remote monitoring and operational data management. Jinko ESS said the 261 kWh system integrates BMS, EMS, and PCS, uses liquid cooling, and has a maximum PCS conversion efficiency of at least 98.5%.

Earlier this year, Jinko ESS signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Shanghai Electric Power Electronics to jointly develop energy storage projects and solar-plus-storage technologies (see China Solar PV News Snippets).

Xinte Energy Narrows H1 Net Loss as Polysilicon Revenue Jumps 297%

Polysilicon, inverter, and energy storage manufacturer Xinte Energy reported revenue of RMB 10.15 billion for the first half of 2026, up 38.88% year-on-year, while its net loss attributable to shareholders narrowed to RMB 212 million from RMB 256 million a year earlier. The company attributed the revenue growth primarily to higher polysilicon sales volumes.

By business segment, external revenue was as follows: polysilicon revenue jumped 297.27% to RMB 3.89 billion, driven by higher sales volumes and a slight year-on-year increase in average selling prices. Revenue from wind and solar power plant construction rose 1.69% to RMB 3.40 billion, while power plant operation revenue fell 16.73% to RMB 1.09 billion, mainly due to lower on-grid electricity volumes and settlement electricity prices. Electrical equipment, including inverters and energy storage products, generated RMB 1.59 billion in revenue, up 8.87%.

Xinte Energy’s parent company, TBEA, said in August that its existing polysilicon capacity totaled 260,000 tons per year.

Deye H1 2026 Revenue Rises 92% as Battery Pack Revenue Jumps 244%

Inverter and energy storage manufacturer Deye reported revenue of RMB 10.64 billion in the first half of 2026, up 92.23% year-on-year. Net profit attributable to shareholders rose 78.53% to RMB 2.72 billion, while net profit excluding non-recurring items increased 75.81% to RMB 2.57 billion.

Energy storage battery packs generated RMB 4.89 billion in revenue, up 244.12% year-on-year and accounting for 46.12% of main business revenue. Inverter revenue rose 94.09% to RMB 5.13 billion, accounting for 48.36%. Deye sold 1.153 million inverters during the period, including 570,300 residential energy storage inverters and 60,500 C&I energy storage inverters.

The company is also advancing construction of a 7 GWh/year C&I energy storage production line. On the R&D side, it is developing a 250 kW high-power PCS, solid-state transformer (SST) technology, and liquid-cooled C&I ESS.
