- PMT of Germany has brought on board a new CEO who previously worked with lichtbasis GmbH
- Michael Jakal will be responsible for boosting the company’s international business while developing PMT sustainably
- He will also be expected to use his experience in the space of sales, marketing, e-commerce and digitalization
Bavaria, Germany based solar PV module mounting solutions provider Premium Mounting Technologies (PMT) has announced the appointment of Michael Jakal as the company’s new chief executive officer.
PMT’s Chief Operating Officer Jörg Weber welcomed the new CEO and said, “Together with him we want to develop PMT sustainably and boost the international business.”
Jakal will be expected to provide a ‘new impetus in the areas of sales, marketing, e-commerce and digitalization’ in his new role.
“The already great importance of the solar industry on the international market has grown significantly again due to the current situation and the resulting lessons learned,” stated Jakal. “The expansion of sustainable energy supply without dependencies can no longer be ignored.”
Jakal has joined PMT from lichtbasis GmbH where he was the CEO and Managing Director. In his previous jobs, he was worked in senior leadership positions at Distrelec Group, Future Electronics and Avnet Silica, among others.
Jakal’s appointment follows after PMT announced Thomas Kercher as its new CEO in June 2020 (see Germany’s PMT Expands Management Team).
