Global solar tracker market leader NEXTracker Inc., has appointed Bruce Ledesma as its president. Ledesma was the tracker manufacturer’s former board member and has previously worked with the likes of Mosaic, SunPower Corp, PowerLight Corp., among others.

He joins the company at a time when NEXTracker is expanding its software and storage product lines, develop new business models and moves into new geographies.

Bruce is one of the top executives I have worked with since I recruited him to PowerLight in 2003 and to NEXTracker’s Board in 2013. Now is the perfect time to welcome Bruce to our executive team as we strengthen our software and digital service capabilities including TrueCapture and Digital O&M,” said Dan Shugar, CEO at NEXTracker. “Bruce will play a critical role in helping us continue to scale and serve global customers.”

According to Wood Mackenzie Power & Renewables, NEXTracker had the largest market share in 2018 at 30% and claimed the top spot for the third consecutive year (see NEXTracker Tops Wood Mac’s 2018 PV Tracker List). On IHS Markit’s global PV tracker supplier market list for 2018, the tracker company continued its run at the top even for the fourth year in a row (see NEXTracker Top Tracker Supplier In 2018).
