Calendar Week 15 was one of decline for the TaiyangNews PV Price Index. Prices declined for most of the products upstream, even as module prices held steady WoW.
All 4 Chinese polysilicon types listed lost value in CW15, with n-type Chinese silicon losing the most at -13.7% WoW.
All the wafer types listed were down low- to mid-single-digits WoW.
All 3 cell variants listed lost value WoW, with TOPCon losing the highest at -8.7%.
Bucking the trend upstream, all module types listed continued to maintain their prices WoW. However, the PERC module types are down low-single-digits both MoM and YtD, while the TOPCon variety is down -5.9% YtD.
The 3.2 mm (thicker) solar glass variant saw 2.0% increase in prices WoW, while the thinner variant maintained prices WoW.
Except global polysilicon, all products listed in the TaiyangNews PV Price Index have now seen price declines YtD. While module prices have seen the least amount of decline with single-digit decreases YtD, wafer prices have declined the most ranging from -15.0% for p-type 182 mm wafers to -32.6% for n-type 182 mm.
