ARRAY has opened a new manufacturing site in Albuquerque for an investment of more than $50 million
The facility is about three times larger than the company’s previous local site
The company says it will produce components previously made externally
ARRAY Technologies, the US-based solar tracker company, has opened a new manufacturing facility in Albuquerque, New Mexico, expanding its US production capacity for solar technology.
The new factory, covering 216,000 square feet, represents an investment of more than $50 million. ARRAY says the facility is about three times the size of its previous Albuquerque site. It will support about 300 jobs across production, assembly, design, engineering, and customer service, the tracker and fixed-tilt products manufacturer said.
Kevin Hostetler, CEO of ARRAY Technologies, said the investment would expand what the company can produce domestically, strengthen its supply chain, and create skilled jobs. The new site will allow ARRAY to manufacture some components in-house that it has historically sourced from external suppliers. The company said several of these components qualify for the Section 45X Advanced Manufacturing Production Tax Credit.
ARRAY says the New Mexico project received public support through a public-private partnership including $2.5 million from New Mexico’s Local Economic Development Act (LEDA) job-creation fund, along with $250,000 each in LEDA funding from the City of Albuquerque and Bernalillo County.
The LEED-certified facility is designed to meet ARRAY’s current manufacturing requirements while allowing for additional capacity across its product portfolio, it added.
ARRAY says it is seeing a strong order momentum with a ‘record’ orderbook of $2.5 billion, with new products such as OmniTrack, SkyLink, Hail XP, and APA accounting for 50% of it in Q2 2026 (see ARRAY Technologies Reports Strong Q2 2026 Financial Results).
Beyond trackers, ARRAY is also expanding into balance-of-system (BoS) products with its planned acquisition of US-based Affordable Wire Management (AWM) for about $203 million. The deal is expected to close in Q3 2026 as it opens opportunities in the growing BESS and data center markets (see ARRAY Technologies Expands BOS Portfolio With AWM Acquisition).
