Trina SuperTrack touch 1 GW orders globally; Dongguan Kelongwei to supply PV equipment to Jolywood; TBEA and JinkoSolar sign silicon deal; ROPYAL and PetroChina partner and eye at implementing about 1300 MW PV projects.

Trina SuperTrack global orders cross 1 GW: Chinese solar module manufacturer Trina Solar said in an announcement that global orders for its SuperTrack smart control system have crossed over 1 GW by August 2022. The projects are now distributed in over 10 countries across Asia, Europe and Latin America. At TaiyangNews’ Bifacial & Solar Trackers Virtual Conference held in July this year, Oscar Aira, Head of Solution Sales for EMEA at Trina Tracker, spoke about how its SuperTrack Smart Control Monitoring is aimed at improving system energy yields (see Oscar Aira, Trina Tracker: Increasing Energy Yield by up to 8%)

Jolywood signs up Kelongwei for 4 GW-second-batch equipment: N-type solar module manufacturer Jolywood said on its website that it has signed an agreement with solar photovoltaic equipment manufacturer and seller, Dongguan Kelongwei Automation Equipment. This makes Dongguan Kelongwei the official supplier of some photovoltaic equipment for Jolywood’s first phase of its Shanxi Intelligent Manufacturing Factory, which is in the process of setting up the second batch of 4 GW n-type TOPCon cell production capacity. Few days back, Jolywood had partnered with Shenzhen Laplace Energy Technology for key process equipment (see China PV News Snippets). Last year, Jolywood had begun the construction of a 16 GW high-efficiency monocrystalline cell smart manufacturing plant in Shanxi. This factory is being equipped with advanced smart production lines that can processh 182/210 mm large wafers. Once the fab becomes fully operational, Jolywood’s annual cell production capacity will reach nearly 20 GW.

TBEA and JinkoSolar ink silicon supply deal: Solar PV inverter company from China, TBEA announced that its holding subsidiary Xinte Energy has partnered with JinkoSolar and its subsidiaries for polysilicon. As per the agreement, JinkoSolar will purchase 336,000 tons of primary polysilicon from Xinte Energy from the year 2023 to 2030.

ROYAL and PetroChina partner for PV projects: ROYAL GROUP, which has been supply the dairy industry with photovoltaic technology, signed an agreement with PetroChina Southwest Oil and Gas Field Company for integrated development of new energy and new materials. Both parties will focus on new energy projects in Guangxi, Yunnan, Sichuan, Guizhou and Hunan provinces, and also plan the implementation of centralized and distributed photovoltaic power generation projects of about 1,300 MW.
