LONGi announces December wafer pricing: Chinese solar PV company LONGi announced new prices for silicon wafers. China’s M6 (166mm) and M10 (182mm) silicon wafer quotations remain unchanged at RMB 3.25 ($.49) per piece and RMB 3.90 ($.59) per piece respectively. The G1 (158.75mm) size silicon wafers rose to RMB 3.15 ($.48) per piece from last month’s RMB 3.10 ($.47) per piece. Earlier this year, LONGi Solar had revealed its new 5 GW solar module manufacturing facility in Taizhou, Jiangsu province of China, is running at full capacity. LONGi Solar will talk about “Value Proposition of High Power Bifacial PERC Modules based on M10 (182mm) Wafers” at the TaiyangNews Virtual Conference on High Efficiency Solar Technologies on Dec. 1 (see Agenda & Free Registration).

Arctech & Guanling County to produce PV brackets: Chinese tracker and mounting systems company Arctech Solar and Guanling County of Guizhou Province have got into an investment agreement to produce photovoltaic mounting products at Arctech Solar’s Kunshan plant. At the signing ceremony, both the companies expressed that this partnership is just a starting point, and in the future, they look forward to boosting the development of the photovoltaic industry in Guanling and the entire region. Meanwhile, Arctech Solar, in a recent announcement had said that it was selected by Russia’s Hevel Group to supply 150 MW two-in-portrait (2P) trackers to PV projects in Kazakhstan (see China PV News Snippets: Arctech, Jinjing, Trina, Guodian)

JA Solar to sell 100% stake in 3 PV projects: Chinese vertically integrated solar module manufacturer JA Solar announced its plans to further improve the efficiency of the company’s asset, and to integrate and optimize the existing asset structure. Towards this, it will be transferring 10o% of three photovoltaic projects to different companies – 100% equity of Dunhuang JA Solar to China Power Investment Northeast Company and Xinjiang Silk Road for RMB 306 million ($46.54 million); 100% equity of Chifeng JA Solar to China Power Investment Northeast Company at a transfer price of RMB 107 million ($16.27 million); and 100% equity of Zalut JA Solar to China Power Investment Northeast Company for RMB 63.38 million ($9.64 million). These transactions are expected to increase the company’s net profit in 2020 by about RMB 110 million ($16.73 million). On Dec. 1 at the TaiyangNews Virtual Conference on High Efficiency Solar Technologies, JA Solar will be presenting on “Advantages of 182mm Cell based Modules in Manufacturing” and participate in the Executive Panel (see Agenda & Free Registration).

Trina’s Vertex modules give more power to PV agriculture: The 50 MW agricultural and photovoltaic complementary project in Lingshou County, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province is expected to be completed and connected to the grid by December this year. The project uses Trina Solar’s, Vertex series 210 ultra-high power modules. The Chinese solar module manufacturer said that the 545 W high-efficiency products of the Vertex series have low voltage and high power and this will be the first time these ultra-high power modules are being used in photovoltaic agricultural projects.
