  • Innergex Renewable Energy has announced the appointment of Jean Trudel as the company’s new CFO
  • For this position, the company has now combined financial activities including accounting, treasury, tax, financial planning, acquisition as well as other responsibilities
  • Trudel takes over from previous incumbent Jean-François Neault with effect from April 14, 2022

Canada headquartered renewable energy company Innergex Renewable Energy Inc has elevated its Chief Investment Development Officer Jean Trudel to the position of the company’s new chief financial officer (CFO), replacing Jean-François Neault.

An old timer with the company having joined it since 2002, Trudel worked in various capacities looking at merger and acquisitions (M&A), accounting, financing, capital structure optimization, investor relations, communications and overseeing its development strategies across various markets.

Innergex said the CFO role will now combine financial activities including accounting, treasury, tax, financial planning, acquisition as well as other responsibilities.

The previous incumbent Neault had been with Innergex since 2018 and working as the CFO since November 2018. His departure and Trudel’s appointment as the CFO became effective on April 14, 2022. However, the management had no parting words for Neault.

““Our strong and experienced leadership team will continue to focus on our goal in 2022 to consolidate and expand our current position by continuing to diversify our portfolio of assets through the development of our own projects and acquisitions, either in our traditional or in storage and green hydrogen technologies” said President and Chief Executive Officer of Innergex, Michel Letellier. “I am proud to welcome Jean Trudel in his new role. His deep understanding of our Corporation and our industry and his strong experience in key roles related to his new position will bring great value to Innergex.”

Operating in Canada, the US, France and Chile, Innergex counts its operational renewables capacity of hydroelectric, wind, solar projects to date as 3.85 GW DC with 150 MWh of energy storage facility. Its development pipeline adds up to 7.12 GW DC.

In June 2021, the company has appointed Pascale Tremblay as its chief assets officer to look after 76 renewable energy facilities (see Innergex Renewable Energy Appoints Chief Assets Officer).
