Heterojunction (HJT) solar manufacturer Risen Energy has announced that it has shipped the 1st 100 MW level batch of its Hyper-ion Pro 730 Wp+ modules. The company said that it had shipped these modules only in small quantities since its release on October 15, 2024. These modules, featuring 132 HJT cells, deliver a power output of up to 740 Wp and an efficiency of up to 23.8%.
Huasun’s 720 W HJT module, with 23.18% efficiency, topped its category in the most recent TaiyangNews TOP SOLAR MODULES listing (see TOP SOLAR MODULES Listing – January 2025). While Risen’s HJT module is rated higher, the company is yet to provide 3-month shipping data for its module to be enlisted.
n-type solar module manufacturer Jolywood has forecast a net loss for FY2024 as part of its annual performance forecast. The company expects to report a net loss of RMB 700 million ($96.54 million) to RMB 880 million ($121.37 million). This compares to a net profit of RMB 527 million ($72.68 million) the company reported for the same period last year. The company cites intense competition and the market environment as the major factors for the dip in performance.
In October 2024, Jolywood reported a 63.23% YoY decline in its Q3 2024 revenues of RMB 1.46 billion ($205.73 million) (see China Solar PV News Snippets).
PV ribbon manufacturer YourBuddy has released its 2024 annual performance forecast. The company expects to report an annual net profit of RMB 40 million ($5.51 million) and RMB 42 million ($5.79 million), a year-over-year decline of 72.25% to 73.57% from FY2023. The company said that it focused on its core business in 2024 and achieved shipment growth. It continued that while global demand continues to grow, product prices have declined throughout the PV supply chain, compressing margins in turn.
In Q3 2024, the company reported a 75.21% YoY decline in net profit of RMB 10.91 million ($1.5 million) (see China Solar PV News Snippets).
