The TaiyangNews Virtual Conference on Reliable PV Module Design, on Thursday, November 6, 2025, brings together experts to discuss how reliable PV module design and mass production can be achieved amid the pressures of rapid innovation and significant costs.
Alejandro Coll García, Product Manager Southern Europe at DMEGC Solar, will speak on the topic: Integrating Reliability into Advanced PV Module Architectures.
Registration for the event is free and can be done here.
Sungrow Smart Operation, a subsidiary of Sungrow, has won the 1,322.24 MW offshore PV plant operation and maintenance (O&M) service tender for the Yuehai PV Project (HG14) located in Kenli District, Dongying City, Shandong Province. The project, invested by a subsidiary of Guohua Investment, has an installed capacity of 1,000 MW (AC) / 1,322.24 MW (DC).
The 5-year contract covers comprehensive O&M management for all offshore and onshore assets, including PV modules, steel trusses, foundations, inverters, transformers, AC/DC cables, and 66 kV collection lines.
Perovskite maker Microquanta has officially unveiled a 2.88 m2 perovskite commercial module, claimed to be the world’s largest of its kind. Measuring 2,400 × 1,200 mm, the module has been certified by TÜV SÜD with a power output of 509.21 W, an efficiency of 18.60%, Isc of 3.12 A, and Voc of 208.02 V.
The company said the 2.88 m2 module demonstrates comparable stability to its smaller 0.79 m2 version, indicating that large-size perovskite modules have now achieved the reliability required for mass production and shipment.
Earlier this year, Microquanta announced that it had achieved a full-area efficiency of 23% for its 19.37 cm² mini perovskite module (see China Solar PV News Snippets).
