Tongwei Solar Ships First Anti-Dust PV Modules

Integrated PV manufacturer Tongwei Solar has shipped the first batch of its Jingjie series anti-dust PV modules, with initial orders totaling more than 50 MW. The modules will be deployed in high-dust environments, including a wastewater treatment plant in Hebei province and commercial and industrial rooftops in Ganzhou, Jiangxi province.

Designed to address dust shading and localized hotspots on C&I rooftops, the modules use a shortened A-side fully wrapped anti-dust frame and dual-glass structure. The design reduces areas prone to dust and water accumulation, helping lower O&M costs and improve module durability.

In early August, Tongwei Solar’s Yancheng manufacturing base received a Gold Medal in the 2026 EcoVadis sustainability assessment (see China Solar PV News Snippets).

Jolywood Wins 750 MWp Residential PV EPC and O&M Contract

PV manufacturer Jolywood said a consortium formed by its controlling subsidiaries Jolywood Minsheng and Jolywood Zhilian has won a framework procurement contract from Zhejiang Energy Group’s energy service subsidiary for EPC and O&M services for its third batch of residential solar projects. The contract is valued at approximately RMB 1.61 billion and covers projects across Zhejiang province with a planned capacity of 750 MWp.

The consortium is scheduled to complete at least 100 MWp, 300 MWp, and 500 MWp of cumulative capacity by the end of 2026, 2027, and 2028, respectively. O&M services will continue through the end of 2030 after project handover.

Jolywood reported first-half (H1) 2026 revenue of RMB 1.166 billion, down 64.71% year-on-year (YoY). Net loss attributable to shareholders widened to RMB 345.11 million from RMB 168.77 million a year earlier, while net loss excluding non-recurring items (adjusted net loss) reached RMB 376.98 million. Solar module revenue fell 10.72% to RMB 710.96 million, solar cell revenue dropped 50.17% to RMB 37.388 million, and PV power generation and O&M services revenue declined 8.3% to RMB 131.44 million.

Jolywood showcased its Namic 1.0 cell technology and TOPCon modules at Intersolar Europe 2026 (see Jolywood Debuts Namic Technology At Intersolar).

YOURBEST Plans Change of Control

PV ribbon manufacturer YOURBEST, which operates under the YourBuddy brand name, said its controlling shareholder Suzhou Juxinyuan Enterprise Management Co., Ltd. and actual controllers Feng Xiao and Min Lin are planning a change of control that could result in new controlling shareholders and actual controllers.

YOURBEST’s shares have been suspended from trading since August 31, 2026, with the suspension expected to last no more than two trading days. The company did not disclose the potential direction of the ownership change.

YOURBEST reported first-half 2026 revenue of RMB 1.676 billion, up 10.41% YoY. Net profit reached RMB 68.04 million, while adjusted net profit was RMB 62.74 million, both up around 90% YoY.

Jinchen Plans RMB 1 Billion Semiconductor Equipment Base

PV cell and module equipment manufacturer Jinchen plans to expand into semiconductor equipment manufacturing through a proposed RMB 1 billion investment in Nantong, Jiangsu province. Under a proposed agreement with the administrative committee of the Suxitong Science and Technology Industrial Park, Jinchen will establish a wholly owned subsidiary to implement the project, which is expected to be completed and enter production within 2 years of starting construction.

The project will include a semiconductor equipment pilot production and testing line focused on technologies including through-glass via (TGV). Jinchen plans to develop and manufacture specialized equipment using ultrafast laser-induced modification, seed-layer deposition through PVD magnetron sputtering, and atomic layer deposition (ALD), drawing on its existing expertise in PV vacuum and laser equipment.

Jinchen reported H1 2026 revenue of RMB 1.104 billion, down 16.56% YoY. Net profit attributable to shareholders fell 12.65% to RMB 33.55 million, while adjusted net profit declined 36.79% to RMB 24.24 million.

Hoymiles Energy’s Storage Revenue Jumps Over 600%

Microinverter and energy storage solutions provider Hoymiles reported H1 2026 revenue of RMB 1.78 billion, up 77.09% YoY. The company recorded a net loss of RMB 163.99 million and RMB 178.30 million excluding non-recurring items (adjusted net loss), compared with profits a year earlier. Hoymiles attributed the decline to changes in product mix, exchange-rate fluctuations, and increased market investment.

Energy storage became the company’s main growth driver, with revenue rising from RMB 188.04 million in H1 2025 to RMB 1.39 billion in H1 2026, up more than 600%. The business accounted for about 78% of revenue from major products. Microinverters and monitoring equipment generated RMB 353.49 million, or about 20% of revenue.

In July, Hoymiles’ HiOne residential ESS received TÜV Rheinland's highest 4-star usability certification under the new 2 PfG 3199/03.2026 technical specification (see China Solar PV News Snippets).
