Chinese solar power project developer ReneSola Ltd has announced it has won 26 utility scale projects of 1 MW capacity each in an auction by Poland’s Energy Regulation Office or URE.

In November 2018, Poland conducted 3 renewable energy auctions, of which AZ/9/2018 had solar and wind of not more than 1 MW capacity competing against each other, as per information on the URE website. It awarded 554 projects in the auction.

ReneSola says all the 26 projects it won under the country’s Contract for Difference (CFD) regime are eligible for a 15-year guaranteed tariff of PLN 354.8 to PLN 358.8 ($94.09 to $95.15) per MWh. The highest auction price went up to PLN 364.9 ($96.77) per MWh.

“We are excited to once again have been awarded the utility projects in Poland,” said ReneSola Chairman and CEO Xianshou Li. “We look forward to further supporting solar deployment in Poland and other emerging markets.”

ReneSola is quite active in Poland – in November 2018, it signed a letter of intent to sell 55 Polish PV projects of 1 MW each to Chroma Impact Investment (see ReneSola To Sell 55 MW PV In Poland).
