Following a week of decline, the TaiyangNews PV Price Index was mostly stable in Calendar Week 16. While prices declined for a few products upstream, there were no price changes for the majority of the price index WoW.
3 of the 4 Chinese polysilicon types listed lost value WoW in CW16, all in the range of -5.0% to -5.5%.
All the wafer types listed maintained their prices from CW15.
Prices for cells were stable WoW. Month-on-Month, TOPCon prices have declined the most, with PERC prices following closely.
Bucking the trend upstream, module prices continue to be stable, with no changes seen in CW16.
Solar glass prices were unchanged WoW, after the 3.2 mm (thicker) variant saw a 2.0% increase in CW15.
The TaiyangNews PV Price Index has now seen price declines for all products, bar one, this year. The highest declines YtD have been for wafers, in the range of -15.0% for p-type 182 mm to -32.6% for n-type 182 mm. Module prices have seen the least amount of decline with single-digit decreases YtD.
The data refers to average product prices in China. The data was collected by Chinese market research firm Gessey PV Consulting.
