TaiyangNews Solar Module Innovations Conference tomorrow: TaiyangNews Solar Module Innovations Conference will be held tomorrow – January 31, 2023, from 09.30 to 13.30 CET. The Conference will see world leading vertically integrated PV panel manufacturers discuss innovations that are taking place in solar module technology. Participating companies include LONGi Solar, Trina Solar, JA Solar, Jinko Solar, Astronergy, DASolar, and Tongwei. Phase III of Trina facility put into production: Chinese solar module manufacturer Trina Solar announced over WeChat the completion and commissioning of the third phase of its cell facility in Suqian base. With an investment of RMB 5 billion ($0.74 billion) and an area of 175 mu, the facility’s construction had begun in June last year. The speed with which this single large-scale TOPCon facility has been completed has set a new record, the company added. The Sugian facility includes three major photovoltaic industry chains: silicon wafers, cells, and modules, and is touted to become the largest PV production base. Earlier this month, Trina had produced 8 GW 210+n-type i-TOPCon cells in Suqian base (see China PV News Snippets)

Yunnan Qujing Runyang 13 GW n-type cell facility begins construction: In a WeChat communication, cell manufacturer Yunnan Runyang Century Photovoltaic Technology said that its 13 GW n-type high-efficiency solar cell facility has begun construction. Spread across 468 mu, the facility is expected to be put into production by July 2023. Once put in production, the annual output value is estimated to be RMB 14 billion ($2.07 billion).

Shuangliang Eco-Energy wins bid from Daqo New Energy: Chinese production equipment maker Shuangliang Eco-Energy announced that the company and its holding subsidiary Jiangsu Shuangliang New Energy Equipment Co., Ltd have won the bid of Chinese polysilicon producer Daqo New Energy. The bid is for reduction furnaces, tail gas casing, and heat exchangers for Daqo’s high-purity silicon-based material facility in Inner Mongloia, which is in Phase 2 with an annual production of 100,000 tons.

GCL Optoelectronics’ new perovskite BIPV module 3C certified: Perovskite solar module producer GCL Optoelectronics announced via WeChat that it has obtained 3C certification from China Quality Certification Center (CQC) for its perovskite module BIPV photovoltaic glass. Obtaining the 3C certification means that the products submitted by the company have passed the tests for moisture resistance, heat resistance, radiation resistance, falling ball impact peeling performance, and shot bag impact performance.
