US based solar module manufacturer First Solar, Inc. has announced appointment of Kathryn A. Hollister to its Board of Directors, where she will serve on the company’s audit and compensation committees.
“Katy brings to the role so much more than just a remarkable track record at one of the world’s largest global consultancies. She brings a passion for organizations with bold, transformative missions, particularly those focused on important issues, such as the environment and climate change,” said First Solar’s CEO Mark Widmar.
Hollister was till recently the chief strategy officer (CSO) of Deloitte’s Global Tax and Legal practice where she led the integration of ‘dozens of global practices’ including technology transformation. She has also served 2 terms on Deloitte’s US and global board of directors.
Apart from being a member of First Solar’s Board of Directors, Hollister also serves on the boards of MENTOR and the Cincinnati Museum Center, having already served as on the boards of trustees of Duke University where she is currently the vice-chair of the audit committee and the University of Cincinnati Foundation, shared First Solar.
Recently, First Solar’s ex-CTO Raffi Garabedian joined the Board of Directors of iron flow battery energy storage company ESS (see Former First Solar CTO Enters Storage Industry).
