Shravan Chunduri, Head of Technology TaiyangNews presented the initial findings of TaiyangNews Market Survey on Backsheet and Encapsulation Materials 2022 at the TaiyangNews Reliable PV Module Design Virtual Conference that took place on 14 December 2022. While providing an overview on the latest developments in backsheets and encapsulates for solar modules, he pointed out that CPC is now the leading configuration of backsheets as fluoropolymers rule the market. Backsheets, though popular, have a strong competitor in the form of glass. For heterojunction (HJT), it is EPE, and for TOPCon it is POE, which is the most followed solutions currently.
